k... can't sleep...
Okay... this is getting ridiculous... One of the things I've always prided myself on is the ability to sleep anywhere, anytime at the drop of a hat (yeah, and I beat a biter down with an aluminum bat)....
(... sorry... my inner Mike D again...)
Anyway.... it seems that for the first time in my life, I've developed a little bit of the insomnia... Why, I'm not sure... could be worries (god knows I have never been this worried before)..... could be just me getting older and more sensitive to things like diet and exercise... I'm just not sure... but sho' 'nuff... here I am writing when I should be sleeping.... This is like the 3rd time in the last 7 days where I've found myself staring at the ceiling an hour after I'd got undressed and crawled under the covers.... I guess writing is a little more productive that watching iCarly reruns on Nickelodeon or searching for zombie movies on the movie channels, anyway...
I know that I haven't written a new installment of my garden piece... it's still in the works, I swear... I just have had some other things/project going on as of late.... I'll get back to it, I promise!
I've also got a few other things in the works... As I said in my last post, I have posted my first recording of myself in 12 or so years on my new MySpace artist page... I have a few other things that I would like to post, but may chicken out, as they will feature my voice... Specifically, I've arranged a couple of Tom Waits tunes for guitar/vocals (On the Nickel [with all original key changes], The Heart of Saturday Night, Jitterbug Boy, Telephone call to Istanbul, just to name a few, for those of you who are interested... I know I have a few Tom Waits fans out there) as well as a couple of others... Again, I have to build up the huevos to do it, so any encouragement would be most helpful...
okay... back to my warm milk, Marmite on toast and iCarly reruns....
.....ahem.... not that I watch it, but I hear that it's really good... especially the older brother charactor and the best friend... *cough*... ahem....
... not that I would know, or anything....
